Belarusian delegation participates in Bali Democracy Forum IX

On December 8–9, 2016 the Belarusian delegation headed by Ambassador of Belarus to Indonesia Vladimir Lopato-Zagorsky participates in the 9th Bali Democracy Forum in Nusa Dua (Bali province, Republic of Indonesia).

On December 8, 2016 the Forum was opened by the President of Indonesia Joko Widodo. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia Retno Marsudi and the UN Secretary-General in 1997–2006 Kofi Annan addressed the Forum as keynote speakers.

The theme of the event this year is «Religion, Democracy and Pluralism». Representatives from 94 countries and 5 international organizations participate in the Forum.
