About the visit to Singapore of Vasily Matyushevsky, First Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus
15.11.2017On November 13-14, 2017 a Belarusian delegation headed by Mr. Vasily Matyushevsky, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus is on a working visit to Singapore. The delegation includes top representatives of the Ministry of Finance, the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus, the National Agency of Investment and Privatization, the Administration of the China-Belarus Industrial Park Great Stone, Belinvestbank OJSC, as well as Belarusian businesspersons.
On November 13, Vasily Matyushevsky together with Dr. Koh Poh Koon, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Trade and Industry and Ministry of National Development of the Republic of Singapore solemnly opened the Belarusian Investment Forum «Belarus Calling Asia» aimed at developing cooperation of our country in financial and investment spheres with the Asian countries.
Within the framework of the forum, the financial system, economic, intellectual, technological and investment potential of Belarus were presented to the Asian partners. Belarusian and Asian companies discussed the establishing of bilateral cooperation as well as the interest of regional investors in placing of Belarusian debt instruments on Asian stock markets. А number of documents on the development of cooperation between Belarusian and Chinese partners and the increase of Belarusian exports was signed.
On the same day, the meetings of the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Vasily Matyushevsky with Ms. Indranee Rajah, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Law of the Republic of Singapore, Mr. Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Deputy Prime Minister, Coordinating Minister for Economic and Social Policies of the Republic of Singapore and Dr. Koh Poh Koon, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Trade and Industry and Ministry of National Development of the Republic of Singapore took place.
The topical issues of cooperation between Belarus and Singapore in the political, trade, economic, credit, investment, scientific and technical spheres as well as directions of the legal framework’s development were discussed.
