Belarus-Indonesia trade and economic online meetings
22.10.2020The Embassy of Belarus in Indonesia, together with the National Center of Marketing MFA Belarus (NCM) and the Indonesian Trade, Tourism and Investment Club (ITTIC), with the support of the Indonesian Embassy in Moscow conducted online seminar sessions aimed at developing trade and economic cooperation between enterprises and organizations of Belarus and Indonesia.
Following-up the agreements reached on the 1st video session held on August 19 with more than 70 representatives of the agricultural and food industry, the 2nd Belarusian-Indonesian seminar was held on October 21, 2020. The business event was dedicated to the market promotion of consumer goods in both countries.
The seminar was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Trade, the Ministry of Industry of Indonesia, NCM director V.Sadokho, heads of foreign economic departments of Vitebsk and Gomel regional executive committees, Grodno municipality, Tegal city deputy mayor, as well as about 60 business associations and companies from Belarus and Indonesia.
NCM director presented export.by e-commerce platform to Indonesian companies that was created in order to provide information support to exporters in promoting their products to foreign markets, as well as in finding business partners in Belarus.
ITTIC introduced a new e-portal for matchmaking in Indonesia ittic.co.id. Head of the Indonesian Association of Suppliers (AP3MI) M.Joni presented the opportunities for the distribution of consumer goods to the Belarusian companies; Senior Consultant for Market Research E.Susilo introduced current trends of the Indonesian consumer goods market.
Grodno and Tegal city authorities also presented opportunities for bilateral cooperation.
Taking into account the request of the business community, the practice of holding Belarusian-Indonesian business seminars will continue.
