On the 7th session of the Intergovernmental Belarusian-Indonesian Joint Commission on Trade, Economic and Technical Cooperation

On March 18, 2022, the 7th session of the Intergovernmental Belarusian-Indonesian Joint Commission on Trade, Economic and Technical Cooperation was held under the chairmanship of H.E. Mr. Sergei Aleinik – First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus and H.E. Mr. Ngurah Swajaya – Director General for American and European Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia.

During the Session, which was held with the participation of official and business circles of Belarus and Indonesia virtually, the Parties discussed the development of trade, economic, scientific, technical, and investment cooperation across the entire spheres of mutual interest, incl. in industry, agriculture, standardization and humanitarian spheres and agreed on specific steps to expand trade, investment and cooperation ties between the countries in order to assist companies in expanding their mutual presence in the markets.

Based on the results of the Session the parties adopted the Action Plan for the development of key areas of cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Indonesia for 2022-2023.

As a result of the Session, the Memorandum of Understanding between the State Committee for Standardization of the Republic of Belarus and the National Agency for Standardization of the Republic of Indonesia and the Memorandum of Understanding between the countries on ensuring the quality of halal products were signed, substantive agreements were reached to increase mutual trade.
