Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of Malaysia visited Belarus
28.12.2016On 18-23 December 2016 the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of Malaysia Pandikar Amin Mulia made an official visit to Belarus.
Malaysian Speaker held the meetings with the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov, top officials of the National Assembly – Chairman of the House of Representatives Vladimir Andreichenko and Chairman of the Council of the Republic Mikhail Myasnikovich. Speaker also met with the Governor of Minsk Region Semyon Shapiro.
Malaysian Parliamentary delegation visited the number of Belarusian enterprises – Minsk Tractor Works, Belarusian Autoworks (BELAZ), aircraft repair plant in Baranovichy.
During the visit the sides discussed the topics of political interaction, including the visits exchange, expanding inter-parliamentary contacts, promoting economic cooperation, establishing inter-regional ties. The houses of representatives of Belarusian and Malaysian parliaments signed the Memorandum on the Inter-parliamentary Cooperation.
