Ambassador of Belarus Raman Ramanouski presents his Credentials to the Secretary-General of ASEAN

On 10 September 2024, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Indonesia, Malaysia, the Republic of Singapore and the Republic of the Philippines (with residence in Jakarta), Dr. Raman Ramanouski presented his Letter of Credence to Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn.

The Ambassador of Belarus and the Secretary-General of ASEAN discussed the prospects of intensifying interaction between the Republic of Belarus and ASEAN in areas of mutual interest. The Sides stressed the importance of exploring opportunities to enhance cooperation and increase mutual trade, investment and tourism.
Secretary-General Kao Kim Hourn emphasised the interest of ASEAN in developing contacts with Belarus in areas where the Belarusian side has the expertise and strength.
In his turn, Ambassador Ramanouski emphasised the openness of Belarus to cooperation in such areas as industry and food security, science and education, and reiterated Belarus’ intention to expand trade, economic, inter-parliamentary, humanitarian and other ties with ASEAN and its Member States.
