Ambassador of Belarus V.Kolesnik paid a working visit to the Philippines

On March 19-21, 2019 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Indonesia and non-resident Ambassador to the Republic of the Philippines Valery Kolesnik visited the Philippines to attend a number of official meetings.

During the meetings with Mr. Emmanuel Pinol, Secretary of Agriculture of the Philippines, Mr. Ramon Lopez, Secretary of Trade and Industry of the Philippines and Ms. Alegria Limjoco, President of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry the expansion of trade and economic relations between Belarus and the Philippines was discussed.

At the Department of Foreign Affairs of the Philippines the Ambassador met with Ms. Amelita Aquino, Assistant Secretary of the Office of European Affairs. The Sides agreed on the joint actions to develop further cooperation between Belarus and the Philippines in various fields, as well as to facilitate the establishment of the legal base of bilateral cooperation.

During the meeting with Mr. Delfin Lorenzana, Secretary of National Defense of the Philippines and the leadership of the Philippine National Police some practical issues of cooperation in defence and security between Belarus and the Philippines were discussed.

During his stay in the Philippines V.Kolesnik also met with representatives of the business circles of the Philippines.
